We finally registered Andrew to the Tiny Tot program in Diamond Bar.  He has been envy Angie for her been able to go to school.  The idea of "going to school" seems equal to "having special privilege" to him.  He wants to prove to everyone he knows that he is a big boy by being able to go to school like his older sister.

Therefore, when our dear babysitter agreed to pick up Andrew from the Diamond Bar City preschool after his class ends, I signed him up immediately.  The class for 3-year old is only Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 11:30am.  With this class, Andrew can have the taste of what school is like without losing the comfort in the home based daycare my sitter provides.  The most important is that he still can enjoy both lunch and dinner at the sitter's place.  HaHa, such a relief for me when picking him up after work.  If he stays with sitter, I know for sure he had his dinner when I have him.  I think it's a wonderful plan for now. I took this picture when we were on our way to school.  It's in a park close to our sitter's place.  I dropped of Austin first and took Andrew to school.  He was all happy, but stop smiling when I took this picture... not very cooperative.

This is his classroom.  The setting is more like a Montessori school I visited with Angie.  Andrew was VERY hesitated at the first, but couldn't resist the urge to play with toys.  I sat in the room for 15 minutes and observed his interaction with his teacher.  His teacher, Ms. Eugenia, seemed to be pretty strict on rules.  He had to put the toys he played back to where they belong before he could play with the next one.  I thought the training is extremely good, but it made me concern for a second.  Andrew is usually very stubborn on how he does things instead following the "rules" set by his parents... HAHA, I wonder why?

Within 10 minutes, he was already enjoy himself in the new world he was going to blend himself into.  I felt it's the time I can leave.  The feeling was weird because I still remember Take and I had to leave secretly on Angie's first day to school.  She was crying like crazy.  Although she stopped crying before we left the campus, but we didn't have the chance to say good-bye to her.  I almost feel like I have to adjust myself when it's peaceful like this.  Anyway, I went up to Andrew and let him know I have to go back to work.  He didn't like the idea, but was willing to accept it since I told him that his teacher asked me to leave.

I was glad to hear from my sitter that he behaved in his class.  His teacher liked him on his first day.  That's a good sign.  Good first impression is always good, right?
