Of course we didn't make it. We weren't well prepared.
Angie had an audition for her school variety show last week. We weren't going to do anything until I learned that Angie's gymnastic teacher can put the routine together for her to perform. With Angie's consent, I turned in the application form and emailed her teacher to practice with Angie the day after. It was already the Friday afternoon when Angie started to practice and the audition is next Tuesday. We practiced more on Sunday. We went to teacher Lily's studio and practice for 45 minutes then. The last rehearsal was on Monday night... then she was on her way to her first audition. Angie waited for her turn to perform. She was the last one on the list. I asked her if she was nervous and she nodded. If you asked me how confident I was, I didn't think she would make it simply because she didn't rehearse enough. Anyhow, I told her to have fun when going on to the stage. When it's her turn, I popped the CD in the player and watched her perform from the back. She was so nervous and she forgot some of her steps. The routine was only 2 minutes, but it sure seemed longer than 2 minutes. Earlier today, I checked the list posted by the office. She wasn't on the list. She is one of the a few students didn't make to the variety show. I told Angie that she didn't make it and she didn't seem to care. Although she is invited to work on the back stage, I think I better check with the committee to see if they really have something for my little Angie to do........ heehee!!
