After three soakers (two functional ones), I changed my channel.  I am going to try the longies.  It's winter now and LA has been raining.  Just like his sister and brother, Austin kicks off his blanket at night all the time.  So, sometimes if I am not using AIO for nights, I will put a diaper, diaper cover and the pants on him.  His little bud looks really funny.  Although soaker does help reduce one layer when I am with him during day time.  I still need to add one extry layer (pants) on him at night.  To solve this, I am going to knit the longies.

With longies, I decides to use the circular needles to knit in rounds.  It went much faster than the flat pattern.  I guess it's because I didn't have to turn the project back and forth.  I just knit it all the way until short row section or guesst part.  I chose the pattern simple enough so I am able to finish it.  In my opinion, it was easier than the soaker.  Soaker patterns have too many increasing and decreasing I need to pay attention to.  A lot of time I have to count the stitches over and over again because kids always interruptted me when I needed to count the stitches.  That's what kids for, right?.... messing me up!!

This longies took me almost a week to finish.  The icord I made for it is too short and the hole for the icord is too large.  I swear I will not do the hidden icord next time.  Ribbed waist should be a lot easier and require less yarn, I think.

The funny part is that this longies actually fits Andrew only it's shorter on him and more fit for his legs.  Andrew is very skinny and not much bigger than Austin.  He really likes it and keeps on asking me if I will make him another one.  I guess it's time to go on to my next project.......
