Angie handed me a note from her teacher last night. I looked at her and wondering if it's a warning saying that Angie hasn't behaved in class. Or it could be a note to me as her mother to remind me that I should remember to check her folder every night. Lately, I have not been checking her backpack everynight. Thus, there were note from her teacher I missed and things we need to do totally got slipped. With my look, Angie got nervous and told me she had no idea what the note was about.
So, I opened it up and realized it's the note from school principal notifying me that Angie got the Rough Rider Awards for the month of October. Be honest with everyone, I have absolutely no idea what is the Rough Rider Award. Well, I figure it's not a bad thing since it's an "award". I was invited to the Rough Rider Assembly to see Angie getting her award this Friday. For a moment, I was a proud parent for such a good kid. Then, all of the sudden, I asked Angie: "Tell me, how many of you got the note from your teacher." The answer from her was like a needle popping the balloon. She said "oh... everybody got one......" 
No kidding.......
Note after attending her award assembly: There were only a few student got the awards this time, so I am still a proud mommy!! Make sure you look for another posting for the award assembly. I got a video clip and some pictures I can share after I upload them from my camera. ~~ 10/31/08
